Dycon’s ENERGY EFFICIENT homes are at least 15% more energy efficient than homes built to the 2004 International Residential Code (IRC). Our energy efficient homes achieve energy savings with new energy innovations, and reliable building technologies.  Effective Insulation – Properly sized and installed insulation in walls, ceiling, floors, and attic ensures constant temperatures throughout the house.  Increasing comfort and using less energy.

1. Double Pane Low-E Windows.  These windows help keep the heat in during the winter and out during the summer.  Argon gas is injected in the airspace between the panes of glass. Cooling and Heating costs are ultimately reduced.
2. Sealing Package – A tightly sealed home improves comfort and indoor air quality while reducing heating and cooling costs.  Sealing holes and cracks in all exterior walls and duct work reduces drafts, condensation, mold and noise.
3. Efficient heating and Cooling Equipment – Properly sized heating and cooling systems use less energy and operate at a quieter mode.  Besides adding to the overall comfort of the home, energy efficient equipment requires less maintenance and is more durable.
